Pizza is awesome. Pepperoni or not, as the case may be. And leftover pizza is equally awesome, especially when, like me, you are on the verge of physical and emotional collapse on account of far too much work and far too little sleep. Cold pizza. Awesome.
Meal One:
- Vanilla Iced Coffee
- Cream Soda
- Fresh mozzarella, tomato and basil sandwich
- Honey BBQ Kettle chips
- Papa John’s Six-cheese pizza

Maybe you should start labeling the food group of the things you eat. It may help you get focused on more healthy balance.
For instance, this is how I would label this days' meals:
Meal One:
the coffee = Sugar and possibly dairy if there was a serving size of milk in it.
Meal Two:
cream soda = Sugar (any soda pop I count as sugar)
the sandwich = Dairy, veggie, refined grain (if the bread used was whole grain, then label it as such, it's important)
the chips = Fat, processed carbs/sugar. I personally would not count as a veggie.
Meal Three:
the pizza: dairy, fat, refined grain (unless you got wholegrain crust), and maybe veggie because of the sauce.
Don't get me wrong, there's a place for pizza, i love it too! But, maybe not the same day as having a cheese sandwhich? Sometimes one can't plan the day out well, and that's ok.
It took me a while as a vegetarian to really realize what I was eating. Classifying what I eat into food groups helps me eat a more balanced diet, and maybe you would find it useful too.
